Hydrate with a Mate
Our Under 11s are showing us all how easy it is to “Hydrate with a Mate”.
Raiders are proud to support this program aimed at ensuring all of our players and officials are aware of the importance of fluid intake and keeping their bodies healthy. Healthy bodies tend to enjoy their sport more at social and competitive levels and reduce the likelihood of injury. It seems like a lot but the recommended daily intakes of pure water are:
- 2.6L/day for Men
- 2.1L/day for Women
Our mighty juniors can follow the same referenced guidelines too!
- 1L /day- 5 – 8 year olds
- 1.5L/day 9 – 12 year olds
- 2L /day 13-18 year olds
Don’t wait to feel thirsty – have a few mouthfuls of water at change of innings, and make sure you have a decent drink (400mls) once your game is done and dusted.
Eastern Raiders are grateful to Mili Cohen for donating a supply of our fabulous new branded water bottles. Every registered junior is receiving one of these and adults can purchase a bottle for $5.
