A new season – a new senior format
Waverley have announced a full restructure of the senior competition, in response to the difficulties faced
by many clubs in fielding teams across 5 senior grades. Waverley will offer 4 levels of senior competition

For Eastern Raiders we’ll be evaluating last season’s teams and identifying the best grade fit for teams and individual players. We’re placing strong emphasis on maintaining a clear progression path for junior players wanting to achieve at the highest levels of softball, while also maintaining teams who love the game and an afternoon down at the park with friends.
This season we want to bring in a new “transition” team aimed at introducing our top-age juniors to senior
softball & teaming them with some of our younger adult players. We’ll be looking for expressions of interest from Division 1&2 players – more news on this team in the coming weeks.
The junior team structure remains the same with grades aimed at the following age groups:
T-ball – Prep to Year 3
Primary B – Years 3-5 (boys to year 4)
Division 3 – Year 6 + Year 7s needing additional skill training (boys to year 5)
Division 2 – Years 7-10
Division 1 – Years 8-11
U15 Boys (SEMR) – under 15 at 31.12.12
